The high-powered committee, formed to probe the fire incident in Bangladesh Secretariat, will submit a preliminary report to Bangladesh interim government chief adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus on Monday, said chief adviser’s deputy press secretary Abul Kalam Azad Majumder said on Sunday.

At a press briefing, he also said that in the interest of the probe, some evidence could be sent to abroad for further investigation.


He also said that 200 Journalists would be provided with temporary passes to enter the secretariat.

Among others, chief adviser’s press secretary Shafiqul Alam was also present at the press conference held outside of State Guest House Jamuna in Dhaka.

A devastating fire broke out at a building of the Bangladesh Secretariat, the administrative headquarters of the government, in the capital Dhaka, gutting offices and documents of five ministries on early Thursday.
