The Supreme Court has instructed all employees of its High Court Division, along with their dependents, to submit detailed wealth statements for assets held both at home and abroad by February 15, 2025.
The directive aligns with a government circular aimed at curbing corruption and promoting transparency and accountability among government employees.
A notification issued on Wednesday by Supreme Court Registrar General Abdul Aziz Bhuiyan, on behalf of chief justice Syed Refaat Ahmed, outlined the submission process.
High Court Division staff are required to submit their wealth statements either in a prescribed format or a computer-generated document to the court鈥檚 establishment section.
Appellate Division registrar Hasanuzzaman confirmed to 抖阴精品 that a similar directive had earlier been issued for Appellate Division employees, instructing them to provide details of their own assets and those of their dependents.
The public administration ministry, in a circular dated December 26, 2024, extended the deadline for government employees to submit their wealth statements until February 15, 2025.
The initiative is part of broader efforts to enhance accountability within the public sector.
The Supreme Court employs approximately 2,500 staff members in the High Court Division and 175 in the Appellate Division, covering all levels of its registry operations.
