A college student electrocuted on a foot-over bridge on the Dhaka-Aricha highway in Savar Monday morning.
The deceased is Tarequzzaman, a student of BPATC School and College and son of late Sohel Mia, a resident of Nabinagar Palli Bidyut area in Ashulia.
Police said that Tarequzzaman came in contact with a live electric wire hanging from the foot-over bridge while he was going to college at about 9:00am.
Critically injured Tareq was sent to Enam Medical College Hospital where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.
Officer-in-charge of Savar Model Thana Juwel Mia confirmed the matter and said that legal action was underway in that regard.
