
A female activist of the Bangladesh Awami League was handed over to police in Rajshahi city on Monday night.
The activist is Rumana Islam Akhi, a resident of Kadirganj area in the city.
Mehdi Masud, officer-in-charge of the Boalia model police station, said that local people caught Akhi, tied her hands with a cloth, and informed the police at midnight on Monday.
He said that no case was filed with the police station against Akhi, and they sent her to jail through a court order on Tuesday in a sabotage case.
Law enforcement agencies and security forces, meanwhile, arrested eight people from various areas in Rajshahi district in Operation Devil Hunt on Monday night.
Sabina Yeasmin, additional deputy police commissioner of the Rajshahi Metropolitan Police, told 抖阴精品 that a team of joint forces arrested three AL leaders and activists on Monday night in three separate cases filed with the Boalia model police station.
The arrested are Rajshahi city Juba League Ward 13 unit former organising secretary Md Suman, 40, Kashiadanga Thana Jubo Moitri convener Hafizur Rahman Sagar, 45, and banned Bangladesh Chhatra League activist Atikur Rahman, 24.
Contacted, Rajshahi district police spokesperson and additional superintendent of special branch police Rafiqul Alam said that five more individuals were arrested on Monday in nine cases filed with various police station areas in the district.
