Singer, songwriter and music composer Khayam Sanu Sandhi thinks that the role of background musicians in productions is so crucial that if their work is not executed accurately, the entire production suffers.

Recently, Sandhi has worked as a background musician for a good number of productions, including 鈥楽yndicate鈥, 鈥楳yself Allen Swapan鈥, 鈥楳ayashalik鈥 and 鈥楰acher Manush Dure Thuiya鈥.

Speaking about the productions, he said, 鈥業 have had great pleasure working in those productions. After the release of the productions, people from both home and abroad sought out my name and told me that they adored my work. All these things actually make a musician more passionate about work.鈥

A production revolving around a couple in long-distance relationships, 鈥楰acher Manush Dure Thuiya鈥, portrays distance stresses relationship and causes pain, doubt, mistrust, anger and resentment.

Apart from working as a background musician, the singer-songwriter also composed the title track penned by Shomeshwar Oli and rendered by Majharul Mikat.

鈥楿ltimately, the relationship leads to separation before emotional reunion. I have greatly enjoyed working in the production,鈥 he shared.

Although Sandhi learnt all genres of music, he had a prodigious interest in Nazrul Sangeet. He had also composed the song titled Cup Kintu Ektai for Cricket World Cup in 2011.

He has been regularly recording songs from 2018, but was not prepared to release those songs. He mentioned, 鈥楨arlier, I have released four songs out of the 12 songs I have prepared. As I have tidied up my channel on Spotify, iTunes and other online platforms, I am looking forward to releasing one song every three month.鈥

Sandhi garnered acclaim for his songs titled 鈥楢mi Tomay Na Dekhi鈥, 鈥楤olte Chai鈥, 鈥楾omake鈥, 鈥楨kta Golpo Boli鈥, 鈥楶owder鈥, 鈥楶other Gaan鈥 and 鈥楾oi Toi Toi Boyam Pakhi Koi鈥.

In 2011 and 2012, Sandhi worked on two radio musical projects 鈥 the first 鈥榬adio musical鈥 in Bangladesh 鈥 under the headers 鈥楤halobasi Tomake 1 and 2鈥.

Using guitar, ektara, dotara, sitar, he created fusion and experimental music in those song, experimented with genres from punk rock, romantic ballad, folk groove to Indian classical.

He also spoke about his upcoming ventures.
