
Bangladesh earned a 53-29 point win over Nepal in the first of the five-match Kabaddi Test Series between the two countries at the Paltan Ground in the city on Saturday.
Bangladesh dominated the first half of the game by 28-11 points.
The next game of the series between the two sides will be held at the same venue today, while the other three matches will be held on February 25, 26, and 28. All the remaining four games are scheduled to begin at 3:30pm.
The Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation has been hosting this kind of test series of the country鈥檚 national game after a 51-year gap, as the last time they hosted such a series was back in 1974 against India.
Ministry of youth and sports secretary Rezaul Maksud Zahedi earlier inaugurated the event as the chief guest. The BKF general secretary, SM Nawaz Shohag, was also present on the occasion, among others.
