The services of the metro rail on the entire Uttara-Motijheel route remained suspended for around two hours on Saturday following electrical fault.
Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited director (operation and maintenance) Nasir Uddin Ahmed said that an electric fuse burnt out at an electric substation of Bijoy Sarani station at about 5:05pm on the day.
Following this the movement of trains on the entire route stopped immediately, he said.
The metro rail services were resumed at about 6:50pm, he added.
