A Magura court on Sunday started hearing testimonies of witnesses in a case over the rape and murder of an eight-year old girl.

All the four accused in the case-prime accused Hitu Sheikh, his wife Zaheda Begum and two sons-Ratul Sheikh and Sajeeb Sheikh were produced before the court amid tight security.


Advocate Sohel Ahmed stood for the petitioner while advocate Manirul Islam Mukul represented the state.

Judge of the Woman and Child Repression Prevention Tribunal M Zahid Hasan fixed April 28 for next hearing.

The court also recorded the deposition of the two witnesses and three more witnesses are likely testify on Monday.
